Eleven Kurzman Eisenberg attorneys named as Super Lawyers

Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever, LLP is pleased to announce that eleven of its attorneys have been named to the 2017 edition of New York Metro Super Lawyers, a listing of the region’s outstanding attorneys who are recognized for professional achievement in the New York Metropolitan area. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters attorney rating service, compiles its annual list using a patented selection process involving peer nominations, independent research, and peer evaluations.  No more than 5% of attorneys in New York State are selected as Super Lawyers each year.

Jessica Galligan Goldsmith, co-Managing Partner.  Named as a Super Lawyer for the ninth consecutive year, Ms. Goldsmith is also named one of the top Women Attorneys in the New York Metropolitan area.  AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, Ms. Goldsmith advises clients in the areas of estate and gift planning, charitable planning, estate administration and planning for closely held businesses.

Lois Tilton, Partner. Lois Tilton has practiced in the field of trusts and estates for over thirty years. Her practice includes sophisticated estate and gift planning, estate administration and planning for owners of closely held business interests, particularly involving real estate entities, business succession planning, and other private client services. Ms. Tilton particularly enjoys counseling families with multi-generational planning concerns.

Joel S. Lever, Partner. Mr. Lever represents a number of major companies pursuing strategic acquisitions, joint ventures and venture capital financing. He manages complex mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and leveraged buyouts.  Mr. Lever is also a leading authority on art law, negotiating multi-million dollar sales and purchases by museums, collectors and dealers.


Bruce Bieber, Partner. Long considered a leading authority in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Bieber’s practice focuses on commercial disputes and transactions including businesses in the distribution, manufacturing and construction industries.  He also counsels high-net worth individuals in shareholder and partnership disputes. 

Real Estate Practice

Richard L. Chadakoff, Partner. Mr. Chadakoff enjoys a diverse practice representing developers, banks, lenders and investment funds in their structuring of complex real estate investments including acquisitions, disposition, leasing, and joint ventures. Mr. Chadakoff is often selected to advise developers in countless landmark and “trophy” building developments throughout the country. Stuart Berg, Partner. Mr. Berg is an experienced commercial real estate attorney who represents numerous developers and owners throughout the metropolitan area in acquisitions, financing and leasing matters. In addition, he has successfully represented parties in complex commercial landlord-tenant disputes, commercial mortgage foreclosure actions, construction-related disputes, land valuations and mechanic’s lien litigation.

Litigation Practice

John Re, Partner. Mr. Re is an expert in the areas of commercial mortgage foreclosures and related loan workouts. He counsels a number of public and private sector clients on matters involving contracts, restrictive covenants, estate matters, insurance claims and structured settlements. Mr. Re currently serves as a commissioner on the Town of New Castle’s Recreation and Parks Commission, and is actively involved in charitable fundraising activities.

Lisa Capone, Associate.  Ms. Capone, named as a Rising Star, also recently received the Westchester County Bar Association's New Lawyers Leadership Award.  Ms. Capone’s practice involves the representation of clients in trusts & estates and commercial litigation, and she also has significant experience counseling cooperative and condominium boards.
