Lisa M. Capone

Ms. Capone is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice, with focused areas of experience in trusts & estates litigation, art law, real estate and commercial litigation. 

Ms. Capone has worked in various matters of trusts & estates litigation, including contested accounting proceedings, will contests, property turnover proceedings, fiduciary removal proceedings, kinship proceedings, and reformation and construction proceedings.  Her experience also includes estate and trust administration, the probate of wills, and the preparation of accountings for fiduciaries, and she has been approved and appointed to serve as Guardian ad Litem in guardianship proceedings. 

As part of her role as an associate in the firm’s litigation practice, Ms. Capone has worked on a range of commercial and real estate litigations for corporations and individuals, including breach of contract actions, commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, and mortgage foreclosure actions.  She also counsels cooperative apartment corporations and condominium associations in the New York Metropolitan area, and has experience in objectionable conduct proceedings, and holdover and non-payment actions.

Ms. Capone also has unique experience representing parties in disputes arising out of claims to the title and the authenticity of art work.  Ms. Capone’s work in the art law field also includes counseling galleries, dealers, artists and private collectors engaged in the sale, purchase, consignment, lending and insuring of fine and decorative art.
