Lisa M. Capone is a Partner of Kurzman Eisenberg, and a member of the Trusts & Estates Litigation, Litigation, Elder Law & Special Needs, and Real Estate practice groups. Her broad range of practice enables her to bring a wealth of experience and unique perspective to each matter she handles.
Lisa’s practice focuses primarily in Trusts & Estates Litigation, with extensive experience in will contests, contested accounting proceedings, contested administration proceedings, discovery and turnover proceedings, and fiduciary removal proceedings. Lisa also serves as court-appointed Guardian ad Litem and Court Evaluator, and her litigation practice includes the representation of guardians and parties in contested and uncontested guardianship proceedings. As an active member of the Part 36 Fiduciary Appointment list, she is regularly appointed by judges throughout Westchester and surrounding counties.
As a Partner in the Litigation practice group, Lisa has experience over a range of commercial and real estate litigations for corporations and individuals, including breach of contract actions, partnership disputes, commercial and residential landlord-tenant disputes, and unique experience representing parties in disputes arising out of claims to the title and the authenticity of artwork.
Lisa also counsels the boards of cooperative apartment corporations, condominium associations, and homeowner associations in the New York Metropolitan area, and has experience in objectionable conduct proceedings, as well as holdover and non-payment actions. As part of her practice in this area, she also represents developers and sponsors of community associations in the creation and offering for sale of ownership interests in such projects.
