Emily F. Johnson

Ms. Johnson has over 40 years of experience in sophisticated estate, gift and income tax planning, with emphasis on international planning (including planning for multi-national families, foreign trusts and other foreign entities), planning for high net worth individuals, closely-held businesses (including generation succession planning), charitable giving and tax-exempt organizations.

Ms. Johnson is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), and is a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practioners, a world-wide professional organization).  Ms. Johnson has been rated as “AV - Preeminent” by Martindale Hubbell for more than 25 years, recognized as a New York Super Lawyer in the field of estate planning and probate, and named as one of the top Women Attorneys in the New York Metro area.

Ms. Johnson was a partner in the tax department of Chadbourne & Parke LLP.  In 2000, Ms. Johnson founded her own law firm and simultaneously became Of Counsel to Gerald & Lawrence Blumberg LLP .
