Judith C. Zerden

Ms. Zerden is an experienced litigator who has represented corporations, partnerships and individuals in complex commercial litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts. As counsel to the firm since 2006, Ms. Zerden has litigated in a variety of practice areas, including trusts and estates, real estate, corporate, employment and civil rights law.

Prior to joining Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever LLP, Ms. Zerden's experience included the representation of a trustee in bankruptcy and the representation of a litigation trustee in complex securities, bankruptcy and commercial litigation, and service as an Assistant Attorney General in the Litigation Bureau of the New York State Attorney General's Office, where she represented the New York State Departments of Taxation and Finance, State and Insurance. Ms. Zerden has also served as chairperson and arbitrator on many securities and employment arbitration panels for the National Association of Securities Dealers, where she served on the Statutory Employment Discrimination Chairperson Panel, and for the New York Stock Exchange. She continues to serve in those capacities for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc., (FINRA), the NASD's successor organization. Ms. Zerden has also taught business law at Mercy College.
